There's a reason when there was an uproar about a gold audit, the topic was dropped like a hot potato. I don't pretend to know what that is, but it could not be good. After all, there has never been a public audit and the last audit, which wasn't done publicly was done decades ago. Since the Fed helps other countries with its monetary tools, why would the US not help some other country out with our gold? The US makes so many bad decisions; no reason is sadly off the table.
Hi Lena, there may be another reason France pulled its gold back home and that is its out of control spending. Perhaps this is a way of saying to French bond holders, "We have lots of gold to back up our ever growing debt."
Is France truly one of the most sovereign countries in Europe? They are no longer in control of their currency, replacing it with the Euro, and so are hostage to European Central Bank decisions. As for nukes are they even needed now in France? Of course, France has willingly been invaded, allowing single young men from Algeria and other non-Western nations to come to France and rather than integrate with French culture, set up their own ghettos which have become No-Go zones even for the police.
I actually hope they do repatriate their gold from the Americans. The U.S. needs a serious reset if they want to have an hope for a better future.
What is needed is an audit of the US gold holdings!

You can rest assured that it is not good.
That could be scary
"That could be scary."
How so?
What if, as some conspiracy theorists have proposed, that the U.S. doesn't have as much gold as they say they do? Is the U.S. economy a fake?
"Is the U.S. economy a fake?"
In many ways, it is already known to be fake. This country is corrupt and evil in so many ways. So be it, the truth shall set you free.
Why any country would store its gold or currency in a foreign country is beyond me. The instances of confiscation are legion.
Agreed. The framework must have been a post-WWII idea that no longer makes sense in the current environment.
Absolutely.
