Let's not forget all the peaceful, helpful migrants from African countries Merkel helpfully brought over. I am sure social spending is up dramatically as is crime. Very sad that Western countries younger couples are too self-centered to have children, thus slowly eliminating their country, bit by bit. The birthrate issue we also see in the US; couples with two or three dogs but no kids. Can't wait for them when they get old and have no children to visit or check on them. Do they think their dogs will care what nursing home they end up in?
Germany has been increasingly subservient to the United States since 1945, as has been all of Western Europe. The United States has used Western Europe as a wedge, first against the Soviet Union, and now against Russia. One only has to look at the self-destructive decisions promulgated by the US. Consider the incompetent, idiotic leaders the Europeans have elected and allowed to remain in power. Consider the horrible immigration policies of flooding their countries with third-world people, and the destruction of cheap, reliable Russian gas. The United States has been the motivator for all these stupid European decisions in an effort to be the world hegemon.
With all Germany's problems now, they probably cannot do this, but Germany should have pulled out of NATO and told the US to remove all their bases within one year. They might even wanted to kiss the EU goodbye if they want total sovereignty over all parts of policy, both foreign and domestic.
Indeed. I contend that the United States was a strong supporter of the EU's formation to control Europeans as a single entity, rather than as several separate countries. Sheep are easier to control when in a flock.
