The idea of Germany arming against Russia is laughable and just an excuse for more government money pushed into the economy via military spending to pretend things are better. As we know, government spending always has costs, but politicians rarely care. Germany has effectively killed its longtime hesitancy for piling on government debt. One has to wonder who the threat is in Germany as the two parties pretend AfD is a neo-Nazi party and try to ban it. Of course, these are lies, but nothing activates politician suppression like a new political party about to eat their lunches. AfD calls for hooking back up to Russian natural gas, so that Germany can be more competitive. None of the other parties offer any real plans, just more government spending. Sounds familiar to the US "plan."
When I was about 9 years old and heard news all of the time about eternal expanding productivity and profit being the foundation for global economies, I thought, "Wait a minute. How far can that model go in a world of limited resources and accumulating environmental degradation? Ferengi styled profit motivations may have served us well up to a point in human evolution, but it just may kill us off if humans don't learn the limits of industrialization and technology.
We may be forced to join together as sovereign nations in a united humanity in a new experiment, a new paradigm of intent and experience. We may fare better to chop wood and carry water for at least part of the day.
I can't have any sympathy for Germans or any of Europe. They have chosen to live under US occupation for eighty years. Year after year, they have elected and allowed 'leaders' who are sycophants of the US to control and destroy their countries.
