Mr Tangen tells us what a rogue nation, and his description sounds correct. But why does Trump see the his and the US's role as extractive, as Tangen tells us? What is the alternative? The alternative would occur to someone who has a bit of moral integrity, of which there is no sign in Donald Trump. On the other hand, the basis, historically, for the Chinese civilization is a moral one. It has not always been consistent, but my view is that China, from ancient times through Confucianism and into communism and socialism has had been more under their influence than has the Occident been swayed by Christian morality.
