St. Louis Fed's Bullard Forecasts Two More Rates Increases This Year
Fed’s future moves should depend on inflation, employment and banking stress.
St. Louis Fed President James Bullard believes the Federal Reserve bank should hike the rate at least two more times during the second half of 2023. On Monday, May 22, 2023 at the American Gas Association 2023 Financial Forum, he said that more rate hikes would help bring inflation down to ensure it cools to the 2% target rate.
