Apparently U.S. TechGurus have failed to look over the horizon - Deep Seek and hundreds of AI start-ups are rapidly degrading the profitability of U.S ‘promoters’. Like the pervasive application of smoke and mirrors predominating this space in this instance there’s like little fire.
Right now in the west, the US especially, AI is all about money, not about how useful AI can be to society as a whole, not how it can be incorporated effectively into industries. It's simply about people making massive amounts of money..hopefully. There is no rational thought involved here, no strategic planning to make sure that infrastructure is in place to handle AI, how to incorporate it into industries. This whole situation is going to turn into one gigantic mess once reality sets in, at least in the US.
As I replied in a article from Heated earlier this week, once the bubble pops and these new data centers go unfinished or defunct over a lack of funding, what will happen to all of that infrastructure? The companies who over leveraged themselves to build them will abandon them in whatever stage they are in when the money runs out. Smaller companies will go bust. A lot of people will lose their jobs and a recession will likely start up in earnest across the country.
We've been here before and survived with great economic pain and we'll likely survive this one as well. But will this recession change the economic landscape of the United States before it's all over with? We already know it will change the political landscape because it already is today, ahead of any techno recession.
My concern is whether it will dramatically change the fabric of American culture and society before the country recovers.
Most AI is trained from the Web, which has truth, lies, and everything in between. When AI is caught making up false titles of books by famous authors, you know this is pure hype and fantasy. No one's job is yet in jeopardy because no one wants to trust a program which is make things up out of thin air. Where are the profits, AI companies? Only in your minds.
America is disintegrating and our world is in a tailspin. I had thought that only AI could save us but it’s too disruptive and will create too much chaos before getting to the upside. Gene therapy is already happening, could easily make massive changes in our society and world and could be what saves us from the abyss that we’re rapidly heading for. Liz Parrish is considered “Patient Zero” since she began testing anti-aging therapies on herself in 2015.
Right at about the 13:15 point in the top video the host asks her how this gene therapy has benefitted her. She says she’s 54 now and her gain of functions from those therapies has been enormous. It’s made her much healthier, given her a lot more energy and significantly more intelligence. She certainly is an outstanding poster person for it. She looks great, very intelligent, very articulate and very credible. I recommend starting the video at this point, watching it all then going back to the beginning and watching it all again. Quite fascinating and truly amazing. She says this is already racing ahead in China and the Middle East and is going global. The best of times. The worst of times.
