This has to be one of the most educational interviews I have had the pleasure of watching in decades. So much so, that I would like to share the link on my podcast this week.

I've long studied some of this, and I have traveled enough in the middle east to know about some of this, but your guest offered us details that few know about, much less put it all together going back to the end of WWII.

There's no more doubt, after watching this, and from my own studies, that the Americans figured out very quickly that selling surplus war equipment was very lucrative after the war and these oligarchs had to keep the gravy train going in perpetuity, if they could. What better way than to give "Baksheesh" to as many U.S. politicians as they could in order to accomplish that. I am very familiar with this Arabic term from my trip to Afghanistan in 2002.

And it will be this perpetual foreign interventionism that will bring down the American hegemony soon as Trump doesn't have a clue about anything other than lining his personal pockets. He doesn't care where the money comes from, as long as someone pays him.

The American public is now awake and turning away from this more and more. If the democrats can retake the congress, a lot of this may stop next year. Then it's up to the voters to push for laws to prevent this stuff from happening again in the future. That's not something I would be optimistic about but you never know.

This is one of your best. We need a lot more like this to educate people on just how bad this American empire has been and will continue to be, unless stopped. It's hard to imagine that your professor states that the American government has been directly and indirectly responsible for over 28 million deaths in the last fifty or more years. That's hard to wrap my head around but I have no doubt that he is right. Which makes it that much more horrible.
