"The paradox of President Trump claiming his opposition to foreign interventions and then proceeding to launch an illegal war on Iran, without obtaining the approval of the United Nations Security Council or U.S. Congress, after bombing Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, and Venezuela since January of 2025, is stark."

The Constitution only addresses Congress to declare war before the President has the right to start any form of war on a country and the War Powers Act does not supersede the Constitution. Even when Congress refuses to do their job and impeach every President who decides he gets to decide who we go to war with and when. The UN Security Council is not binding on the United States and the United Nations is as useless as Congress. You have the United States refusing to sanction Israel for the Palestinian civilian genocide, as an example of how useless that institution is.

Unless there is a good independent or third-party candidate, it is time for all American voters to make their voices heard by not voting. To vote is to give your approval to a candidate. With neither main party caring about the Constitution, not to mention they will spit in your face and tell you it is raining, why would anyone give those candidates their approval? How often do they have to lie to you until you have had enough? The Uniparty wins every election anyway, regardless.

The US does constant wars because this is the only way to prop up the Dollar. We don't produce anything much other than armaments, so we are not an economic powerhouse. Even a recent Ford commercial talked about how many vehicles were "assembled" in America. Not made, but assembled. Translation: There's a lot of imported parts in those "American" vehicles. This is how empires fail; they flail around for quite a while before eventually losing any real power. Look at the British Empire and look at the UK now. They have no power like they once did. Now they are a has-been, but still want to act war-like to try to pretend they really matter much to the world. The world's reserve currency will keep us afloat for awhile longer, but the Treasury and the Fed can only play musical chairs for so long. Look at how long Japan intervened in their economy and they didn't even have a reserve currency. But eventually they had to pay the piper, as will we.

Excellent points.

Power is the problem — inordinate power. Not power as in energy, but as in control. The main conduits of power are public, private, and religious. The public is the power of the government. The private is wealth. And the religious is faith and dogma. Often, more than one of these channels is used. Trump has used all three.

Much is written and discussed about world problems, but very little is available as a solution—the solution, though far from simple, is to control power. I would love to see viable solutions discussed.

When faith is gone, the morality it produced is also gone. Small wonder, in certain regards, our politicians reflect the American public. How many Americans, in the halls of power, would act much differently? We live in a world of incredible selfishness. Shots are fired over parking spaces and fights break out in register lines.

In Washington's Farewell Address, he wrote, "Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all. Religion and morality enjoin this conduct; and can it be, that good policy does not equally enjoin it? It will be worthy of a free, enlightened, and at no distant period, a great nation, to give to mankind the magnanimous and too novel example of a people always guided by an exalted justice and benevolence.” In that era, "religion" meant Christianity as there were little else in America at the time. Had the US heeded this advice, think of all the lives lost and money spent with nothing much to show for it all.

Not enough, but there are some.

Until the topic of Synthetic Telepathy is openly discussed, discussing campaign rhetoric is pointless.

True, Trump is a not very intelligent man and has little education. But in little more than a year, he has become a horrifying caricature of his former self.

Cruz was once a very intelligent man, and Huckabee was once a very decent one.

No one is free from mind control. Last week in a Congressional briefing, Tulsi Gabbard looked like a hostage victim. I am not convinced she actually knew what she said.

Open your eyes, folks. The dark world of the Intelligence communities uses sticks, not carrots. It has been reported that the Havana Syndrome was an outgrowth at attempted mind control.

The CIA has created doubles of every American President since the elder Bush took office date; AI makes it possible to “document” changes in public figures in a convincing fashion. Would an organization that created the MKUltra program and experimented on human subjects without their permission give up on its possibilities?

Let’s wake up, people. Create-a-Candidate has become Recreate-a-Leader.

Great pseudonym and bio, but was less than 250 words, thereby rendering you, by your own words, 'not worth knowing'. LOL

“Until that question is confronted honestly, campaign promises to end wars may continue to serve less as policy commitments and more as political messaging. And the cycle will continue.”

America though cannot continue like this. It’s unraveling politically, financially, economically and socially. We lack a common reality, have become incomprehensible to each other and can no longer communicate. Where is the common ground in such an infinitely wide divide? There obviously is none. And this is even happening on the right among Trump supporters between those who support Israel/Trump vs those who don’t such as MTG.

I was a subscriber to Sasha Stone’s Substack. She has a popular site and is often posted on Real Clear Politics and constantly condemns the left which she used to be on as a deranged cult. I used to feel I had a lot in common with her and the people there but that changed big time when I started criticizing Israel over Gaza and Trump after he took office and became a disaster.

Even Sasha herself became a super strong Israel and Trump supporter. She basically went from the Woke cult on the left to the Trump cult on the right! I used to think that this was an infinitely wide divide between us that was simply impossible to cross but she went from one side to the other like it wasn’t even there at all! So what does that say about human nature?

Yes, I supported Prostonge Weekly until all his economics started lining up EXACTLY like Trump's. When he stopped providing independent analysis and adding value, why would I pay for a rehash of what I can get from the Trump White House economic propaganda czars? Sadly, many cannot seem to think for themselves and wish to be spoon-fed.
